My Corvette was purchased at Roger's Corvette Center and delivery arranged by Rogers to Australia where it was converted to Right Hand Drive by Queensland Corvettes. The car traveled around 15,000 miles by sea and arrived without a scratch! Australia has some great coastal drives which have been enjoyed including the Great Ocean Road along the Great Southern Ocean. The C5 is always popular at the American Car Club monthly summer cruises here where sometimes up too 200 American Cars, trucks and roadsters can be found. The last cruise found it following a fully restored 1954 Corvette, the old and the new at play. One highlight was while filming a video for the local Corvette Club with Australian Drag Racer and Worlds Record Holder, Victor Bray. I let him have a drive while riding shotgun and I was in awe seeing the master go thru the gears. Victors drag car is a 57 Chevy look with 5000hp. His drag record of 0ver 330mph was obtained by "giving a little more acceleration when you feel the rear wheels start to slip at 300 mph." Thanks to Roger's Corvette Center for providing a quality Corvette and delivering it down under. Too much fun!
