George Stepan's
1992 Corvette
Fremont, California

Hi, here are some photos of my 1992 Corvette Coupe

At the races
#95 Me and my Vette

Here is my 1992 corvette, the one I use for both occasional commuting and racing.
I race SOLO 1 at Sears Point with NASA, Pony Express road racing and run the quarter
mile. This car was built as a compromise - it will run 12's in the quarter mile, and
top out at over 180mph. It has a engine package by Exotic Muscle, Northstar Automotive,
and Performance Motive. I race with Team ZR1 and belong to CLASS corvette club here in
San Jose California. What is important to me is to be able to drive to work, and
handle well during the race season. We often drag race against Vipers, and have yet
to lose a challenge. Here's a list of what was done:

  • Race Heads - with full stage IV porting
Intake ported, extrude honed, then flow matched.
  • 52mm throttle body - also polished + air foil
Slightly better lift from cam and duration.
  • 1.6 full roller rockers intake and exhaust sides
  • Hooker Headers (larger size 1 3/4")
  • Tri flo 3" full exhaust
  • Custom chip
  • Super large Fuel Pump
  • Nitto Drag Radials, and Firehawks for street use
  • #27 Lucas injectors
  • Bosch capacitive discharge system (like MSD)
  • ASM harness bar + 5 point harness, fire extinguisher,
    rear mounted video camera.
  • Rear spoiler for downforce
  • adjustable suspension

All in all the HP at rear wheels dynos out to 350, with SAE hp at 410 and torque at
405. Just to let you know a stock LT1 dynos at 255-265 and LS1 a tad lower than 285.
